    Shirley McClure, 54, of Murphy, was found Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022.
    Shirley was the daughter of Lillie Lou Brown McClure and the late Jerry Norton McClure. She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County.
    Shirley was a CNA and loved helping people, especially her family and friends; she was selfless and never met a stranger. Her children were the number one thing in her life but she also loved her dog, Dixie. She was very outgoing and was a hard worker. Shirley had a contagious laugh and loved making other people laugh.
    In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Jeremiah Lloyd; a daughter, Mycah Lloyd; and one brother, Johnny McClure.
    A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. The Rev. Aud Brown officiated. Music was conducted by Diane Parker and James Hughes. Burial was at Mount Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeremiah Lloyd, Gage Sneed, Michael Crawford, James Hughes, Michael Conard and Austin Dockery. Honorary pallbearers were Mitchell Lloyd and Johnny McClure.
    The family received friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made towards funeral expenses.
